Oh Boy… Election

Is there anything more cowardly than the politician running for re-election? He’ll say anything, lie about anything, and not do anything in order to get re-elected. The challengers running against them are little better. I wish that just once, someone with scruples, principles, and morals would run for office.

    sI agree to a large extent. With regard to Iraq, the US had to eliminate Sadaam or the world would suffer the same consequences as it suffered 6 to 7 decades ago. The British Prime Minister wanted to take Hitler out in 1933, not only because he was killing and persecuting homosexuals and Jews, but because he was violating the terms of the treaty that ended World War I. France refused to go along, and Neville Chamberlain, was in a position to sink his plans. Because that Peace Treaty ws not enforced, World War II followed. Thanks to Bush, Blair, and mostly to the American,British and other troops, the cease fire agreement (UNSCR 687) that ended the Gulf War on March 3, 1991, was enforced and Sadaam removed. Is there any doubt that Sadaam would not have followed Hitler’s path had he not been taken out. I imagine the countries furnishing many of the terroists in IRAQ would have been taken over if Sadaam had stayed in power.
